Petcover is excited to announce our new partnership with the Queensland Feline Association (QFA).
Queensland Feline Association Inc (QFA) was founded in 1975 and is proud to be a member body of the Australian Cat Federation Inc (ACF – a member body of World Cat Congress WCC).
QFA is a not-for-profit association with a fully computerised system of record keeping that offers its breeders and exhibitors registration services of the highest possible quality. QFA and its affiliated clubs run Championship cat shows throughout the year and encourage breeders to enter shows whenever possible to receive regular feedback from the officiating licensed judges on the standard of their cats. Shows are not just for registered pedigreed cats as desexed Companion cats can compete for prizes and titles in their special section.
QFA naturally has an interest in the health and welfare of all cats and is proud to be a regular supporter of the Feline Health Research Fund, a charity that annually funds scientific and clinical research by Australian researchers into the causes, prevention, and treatment of cat diseases.
QFA encourages responsible breeding practices, and its breeders are required to annually agree to abide by the Breeders Code of Ethics which includes that all pet kittens and retired breeding cats must be desexed before going to their new homes – QFA will only register or transfer entire kittens/cats to persons who can be confirmed as already being a registered breeder with a recognised pedigreed cat registry.
As a governing body, QFA is always available to offer its clubs, members, and potential breeders and exhibitors experienced advice and guidance as needed.
“ QFA looks forward to its partnership with Petcover and their support of our shows, which will benefit our breeders, exhibitors, and friends and their pet insurance requirements,” writes Barbara, the Secretary of the Queensland Feline Association.
