Our time at the 30th Vet Nurse Council of Australia Conference

The VNCA Conference was open to all Veterinary Nurses, Nurse Technicians, and upcoming Veterinary Nurses who are still studying.

Celebrating their 30th VNCA conference, the conference ran over two full days, with master classes, and practical workshops provided by local and overseas highly qualified educators.

Several auditorium rooms were in use, providing a variety of industry-related subjects.

For example:

  • Anaesthesia & Analgesia
  • Behaviour
  • Communications, Customer Service & Practice Management
  • Large Animal
  • Exotic/Avian
  • Medical & Surgical
  • Veterinary Nurse & Technician Wellbeing
  • Emergency

The Petcover event team attended, and exhibited alongside other veterinary industry partners, from pet food suppliers, and surgery equipment suppliers to educational institutions, a veterinary dentistry company, and hospital and surgery-grade sterilising chemical product manufacturers.

We enjoyed meeting the nurses who are on the front line and the faces of our crucial veterinary practices, who deal with not only sick and injured pets but also pet parents who can understandably be sometimes emotional and distressed in times of emergencies.

Petcover works with these nurses and other staff members of the practices through our Vet program and 4-week free introductory cover available through partnered clinics.

Thank you to the Vet Nurse Council of Australia for hosting a wonderful and educational event.

Congratulations to Natalie, a Petcover customer and a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing ACVN who won our Petcover event hamper, full of lots of hoo-man goodies and treats.

Natalie wasn’t available to personally accept the hamper, so her two colleges from ACVN were happy to accept the hamper on her behalf. Hopefully, Natalie shared a few items with her team!
